Gabe the dog, a tribute to the legendary pupper

Gabe the Dog

Animals rule the internet. Most videos on the internet that have animals in them, go viral. However, today I’ll talk about a special animal that took over the internet. A pupper known as Gabe the dog. Why this specific dog? Keep reading and you’ll fall in love with him just as I did.

Gabe the dog was a mix of a miniature American Eskimo and a Pomeranian. In other words, a small and fluffy pupper. Gabe was a dog owned by Youtuber under the name deathtrips. Gabe’s owner started uploading videos of Gabe barking on YouTube. Little did he know how popular these videos would become.

Gabe the Dog

To understand why Gabe is so popular, we have to look at a genre on YouTube called YouTube poop music videos. Yes, this is a legit thing on YouTube. This genre is all about crazy and weird edited music videos that will make you feel like you might just be taking drugs. I’ve seen many of these kinds of videos before and they can go from being funny to just being creepy. The introduction to Gabe the dog in this genre created a new entire genre called “bork remixes”.

A bork remix is a remix of any chosen song but with Gabe’s bark being used to lead the song. The bork remix genre created classics such as Borkbusters, Borquiem for a dog dream, Careless Bork and much more. All these bork remix videos were getting thousands of views with the most popular ones reaching more than one million views. The Gabe videos were so successful that even deathtrips himself, Gabe’s owner, started uploading his own bork remixes.

However, the internet didn’t stop there. Gabe the dog started being used as a meme in different videos that didn’t fit in the YouTube poop music video genre. Some videos would put Gabe in a video game while other videos would dub someone talking with Gabe’s bark.

This dog provided entertainment to such a huge crowd on the internet. That is why it was shocking when Gabes’ owner sadly announced on the 20th of January that Gabe had passed away. The announcement was posted on Gabes’ official Facebook page.

Gabe the Dog

Why did Gabe become so popular? Just mentioned in the beginning, Gabe is a dog and the internet loves animals, mostly dogs. There are many dogs that have become popular through the use of memes and I’m sure that we will see more dogs rise up and take over the meme world and the internet. The beauty of the internet, am I right?

I went on YouTube and searched for the Top 10 of Gabe the dog videos (my personal Top 10) for you to enjoy the beautiful art of bork remixes.

What are the Future Jobs of our society? – 8 Principles

We all are moving towards being independent and working their dream jobs one day. This sounds like a dream come true and is for sure achievable for many people, but ever thought that many jobs that exist now might disappear in the future and other jobs are still not invented? I am 100% sure you have seen posts about the “Weirdest Jobs”, and most unbelievable things people do, but one thing we do not know is what people will do in the next 10 years and which jobs will be created for people of the future, or even maybe me and you. One thing which scientists can do is try to predict, or base their predictions on some trends which are already starting to grow and future developments (technological and personal) which can prepare us for yet unknown future jobs.

Looking into the principles we can start with:

  1. New Future jobs should be supported by the right education

In the nearest future, new jobs will be created and it would be a very big shame if the education systems will not prepare us for it. If the switch will happen to something we were expecting and will not have enough experts or specialists to maintain or manage the switch, it would be a shame for many businesses and environments. People should lift and create opportunities on all levels.

2. Children should be taught correctly

The rise of the technological boom is not stopping and restricting your kids from using television and using the internet is the most non-sense thing to do. Cultivating interest and digital intelligence in kids is very important, because it broadens perspectives and helps you think outside the box. All interactive toys and games that exist can only help kids to evolve, but what parents should actually focus on, is WHAT kids are watching and WHAT they are browsing online.

3. Policies should be up to date

The reason for this is that there are many environments which have new technology, factories have new equipment and offices have better computers which no one knows how to use. This is a result of lack of investments into employees education. I have seen so many people complaining about their senior managers who have no clue how the modern things work, and all the arguments start with “When I was your age” or “When I used to work here 10-25 years ago we…”. This is why policies should change and educate ALL employees of their company to keep up with the world and innovation. This happens not only on the technological level, but also on personal development levels. Work models work, safety measures change and new regulations are implemented and the transition should have been made years ago, yet is still falling behind.

4. Empathy is the next bottom line

In my eyes I see a rough split in people. Those who care and those who do not give a s….t. This is in terms of communication. Even in the age of technology when millions of emails are sent, you can see the empathy and emotions of people who writes them. You can see it in the literature. Empathy and positive attitude is something you cannot ignore, this is something that keeps the world spinning for many people and I think for a reason.

5. Learning matters

This is about trying to become better every day. Learn a new word in a different language, obtain a skill or just read some interesting facts. I am not saying to learn how to build a windmill, but if that is your passion, the go for it. Many skills are becoming extinct and new skills are starting to grow in the world. They are both important, but as we are speaking about future jobs, it is more about your capacity to learn all the things rather than how much you already know.

6. Machines or people?

In my personal opinion, this is the most non-sense thing to think about. It is of course true that some basic tasks can be replaced by the machine, but more machines require more people to build them. It is a shift of skills and requirements. Great example would be airplane autopilots, 90% of the time they fly without the pilots intervening, but it still required control and monitoring. It is a collaboration of machines and humans which I doubt will changed soon.

7. Digital is an opportunity

Again, shift of mind is required. People who do not have a Facebook account or do not have an online presence are very rare, yet they do still exist. Some people refuse being online and their reasons for that are sometimes more than absurd. Many businesses do the same thing. They refuse to go online to promote themselves and to grow their business then again supporting their decision by some morals and not very smart reasons. Everything and everyone should see digital as an opportunity and not a threat!

8. Equal world (Equality?)

Remember a song “This is a man’s world”? So what I see, is the world will be more of a shared skills world with a lot of empathy and a world where discrimination will be a joke and not an issue. This is possible to reach if people will start focusing the things which actually matter for the world and not useless extremism. I believe that equality will be reached and many countries are working towards this issue in a very active way, and results can be seen in the Netherlands where the wealth tax exists for a long time, people are somewhat treated equally with respect and 90% of people are enjoying life.

This is more than enough to start thinking about which traits and skills a person should start developing for his future life. The very important thing everyone should understand that it is never too late to start doing things.

Popeye dog exploding on Instagram in L.A. city

Have you ever felt that you that your life sucks? Have you ever felt that even a street dog has a better life than you?Well, I can reassure you that you are absolutely right.

There is a saying in Czech…”I feel like a dog,”  which can be simply interpreted as a feeling of pretty deep depression.

Also in one of the most famous songs of The Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night, where John Lennon sings:  “It’s been a hard day’s night, and I been working like a dog.”

If those two above mentioned sentences should be represented by an instafamous food nazi hipster Popeye, I bet that 99.9% of the human population would happily change their place and jump into deep depression after hard day only to become this doggo.

Doggo, who even has a story to tell: Popeye was found as a homeless stray dog who didn’t have an owner and was desperately looking for a piece of food, running on the streets of Los Angeles. He was lucky. Despite that he was found skinny, dirty and looked nothing like he does now, his foster mother gave him everything (and more) than he needed. He was found and consequently adopted by a Vietnamese family who is also an owner of a restaurant where they serve him the most delicious meals which will definitely make you jealous.

Ps.: No worries, there is a piece of cake for every underdog such as you.

Follow Popeye and his culinary adventures on INSTAGRAM where he has over 214k followers (6th February 2017)

How Coffee Leaf Rust Could Make Coffee Disappear

Coffee Meme

Coffee, one of the most consumed products in the world. We drink a lot of coffee, the whole world consumes close to 2.25 billion cups of coffee every day. That is if I did the math correctly 821.25 billion cups of coffee every year. I should drop out of college and invest in the coffee industry. If only everything was as easy as it looks. Turns out that our beloved coffee is slowly dying. According to scientists, half of the world’s coffee could disappear by 2050. Why? You may ask. Thanks to a fungus known as coffee leaf rust.

Coffee Leaf Rust
Coffee Leaf Rust

This fungus isn’t something new for us. The problem is that our friend good ole climate change has made it easier for the fungus to spread killing more coffee plants. Before I keep explaining this, I will give you a quick coffee lesson.

There are two kinds of coffee that we drink in this world, the arabica and the robusta. The arabica provides a high-quality coffee bean, is more expensive and it’s not something that every coffee farmer can grow. On the other hand, the robusta is of lower quality, cheaper and easier to grow. Now guess which one of these two coffee kinds are being affected by the coffee leaf rust. If you guessed arabica congratulations, you win nothing.

This means that coffee farmers affected by the fungus are changing from arabica to robusta. Should we be excited because the price of coffee will be lowered? Absolutely not! This is not the kind of world we live in. Our good ole friend climate change strikes again! Climate change will also make it difficult for coffee farmers to cultivate robusta coffee beans. If you still don’t see the big picture, this product that so many people are addicted to will become more scarce.

So, how will this affect us coffee drinkers? Prepare to start spending more and more money every year on this product sent by the gods. Your morning kick will be more expensive. However, after giving you all these facts, I don’t believe that we will reach a point where we will pay 15 euros for a cup of coffee. We humans can be smart if you don’t think about all the stupid stuff that is happening in the world at the moment. My opinion is that some scientists will give life to a coffee plant that will withstand rough conditions. Because what I’ve learned in the past few years is that we as humans like to fix only part of the problem instead of fixing the root of the problem itself.

Is the internet even a safe place for this, dank memes?

Dank memes?

Sometimes I am thinking about the things I look up on the internet, and which things the internet provides me, or suggests. It is possible to speak about the dark net for a long time, and I will of course speak about it some day, but at this point let us look into the world of dank memes.

To make your life easier, I have looked up some definitions in vocabularies for the word “dank memes”. The short description would be: “A meme that is just really radical, cool, and neat.”, and the more explicit definition of a meme which is taken from the Urban Dictionary:

“”The real origin of the term: dank is a slang word from SF bay area that meant ‘good weed, it’s been around at least a decade.. eventually it just came to mean ‘cool’ in SF Bay Area Slang.. so seeing that tech culture emanates from the bay area people just probably started saying “dank meme” as a joke and others started using it ironically or unironically whether they knew or didn’t know the origin. It’s still a pretty dank word I use it all the time.”

I recommend taking with with you along your way in life as I see this as very important piece of information for you life in general. The problem here is that the majority of people do not understand the concept of dank memes, but trust me… I got so many people addicted by the memes I provided for them and the videos I was sending them. Small explanation of the adaptation to memes.

  1. Step one: Shock
  2. Step two: Ignorance
  3. Step three: Boredom
  4. Step four: Trial Period
  5. Step five: Slow adaptation (this varies per individual)
  6. Step six: Addiction

This is how it usually goes with anything, but keep in mind that there are always special cases of the addiction process towards memes.

Feline World Domination!

A lot has been happening in the world lately and by the world I mean the United States, thank you mainstream media. It’s crazy how other events that have happened in the world are not receiving the coverage they deserve. For example, there was a shooting in Quebec, we had a Holocaust Remembrance Day and amid all the confrontation in this world, NATO decided it was best to show off their troops off the coast of Romania in an exercise. You know, the Black Sea, the place where Russia took over Crimea. A sign of peace, don’t you think?

On top of all of this, CATS ARE TAKING OVER! Don’t believe me? You can see the evidence down below. Thank you to redditor: happyantoninscalia for unveiling President Trump’s hidden agenda.

The Internet Devotee

The internet is a great place. You can inform yourself on recent world events or watch an 11-minute show about a diabolical dog. That ladies and gentleman is the beauty of endless choices. I can go on and talk about what other things you can do but I’m sure most of you know all about the nooks and crannies of the internet. I can also introduce myself but you’ll see what kind of person I am by what I post in here. I’m really testing myself here by making sure that there’s always some content for you to enjoy and learn from every week. However, if I don’t make it there is always this show about a diabolical dog that you can watch. Yes, it exists. Yes, you are allowed to judge me and my sense of humor. Bye.
